X Faces Major Outage, Users Left Frustrated Worldwide

Millions of users worldwide are unable to access X (formerly Twitter) after a significant outage affected the platform earlier today. The disruption, which started in the early hours of the morning, has left users unable to log in or access their accounts, with many receiving error messages when attempting to refresh the site or app.

The outage cause remains unidentified, but the platform displayed a message reading, “Something went wrong, try reloading,” on both its web and mobile versions. As a result of their disappointment with the events that transpired, individuals from all over the globe opted to utilise Instagram and Facebook instead of Twitter.

Reports regarding the disruption escalated at approximately 3:00 pm on 10th March 10, 2025, and DownDetector monitored an inordinate volume of user complaints. Many users expressed a variety of concerns regarding platform’s stability and security.

“Why is X not working?” became a trending question, with users speculating about the cause. Some joked that Elon Musk might have “been fiddling with the cables” again. Several experts assert that this system failure appears to be only short-term yet the platform generally fixes such technical issues swiftly.

The platform X experiences occasional service interruptions during which the previous outage occurred on March 4, 2025. However, experts believe it is likely a temporary technical issue, with the platform typically resolving such problems fairly quickly.

Previously, X has suffered occasional outages, with the most recent one taking place on March 4, 2025. That incident lasted around 43 minutes, but the current outage has lasted longer, sparking widespread concern.

As users continue to navigate issues with the platform, many are left hoping for a prompt resolution and assurances that X will improve its reliability moving forward.
