Xiaomi Introduces Mijia Smart Audio Glasses 2 with Enhanced Audio and Comfort

Xiaomi has officially introduced the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses 2, which are available through the Xiaomi Youpin crowdfunding platform. This latest release comes amidst speculation that the company is working on AI-powered smart glasses designed to rival Meta’s Ray-Ban collaboration.

Sleeker, Lighter, and More Durable Design

Building on the foundation of its predecessor, the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses 2 features a more refined and lightweight frame. The temple arms now measure just 5mm at their thinnest point, making them 26% slimmer than the previous model at that section and 30% slimmer at the widest. Weighing only 27.6g, these glasses ensure a well-balanced fit, reducing strain on the nose for extended wear.

To enhance durability, Xiaomi has incorporated a “piano steel ultra-flexible hinge,” rigorously tested to withstand over 15,000 bends. A second-generation quick-release mechanism has also been introduced, making lens swapping effortless with its 70% smaller hinge design. Users can choose from five frame styles: metal aviator, hybrid browline, classic Boston, hybrid aviator, and deep-space titanium.

Superior Audio and Calling Experience

Xiaomi has optimized the acoustic structure of the glasses, delivering enhanced sound quality with better volume control and noise reduction. A four-microphone array, powered by smart algorithms, ensures crystal-clear calls. To maintain privacy, an innovative sound leakage prevention feature uses inverse sound waves and anti-leakage membranes, which can be activated via the Mijia Glasses app.

A convenient one-touch voice recording function is also included—by pressing the temple, users can instantly start recording. To address security concerns, a built-in indicator light activates whenever recording is in progress. Additionally, the glasses support IP54-rated dust and water resistance, real-time audio broadcasts, and voice assistant integration.

Long Battery Life with Fast Charging

The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses 2 offers an impressive battery life, providing up to 12 hours of music playback, 9 hours of talk time, and up to 12 days of standby. The device supports 2C magnetic charging, reaching a full charge in just an hour. A quick 10-minute charge delivers up to four hours of listening time.

While Xiaomi has launched the glasses through crowdfunding in China, global availability remains uncertain. The campaign begins on March 26 at 10 AM, with an early-bird price of 999 Yuan (~$140).
