Poco is set to unveil the M8 on January 8, and ahead of the launch, the company has started sharing key details. At the same time, retailer listings have filled in the remaining gaps, giving a clear picture of what to expect from the upcoming smartphone.
The Poco M8 features a 6.77-inch 3D curved OLED display with a 1080×2392 resolution. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches 3,200 nits of peak brightness. Poco claims it is the most durable 3D curved display phone in its segment.
Durability is a major focus this time. The phone carries MIL-STD-810H certification for heat, dust, and shock resistance. It also has an IP66 rating for dust and water protection. Wet Touch 2.0 support is included, and the device survived drop tests from up to 1.7m.
Poco is also pushing design and weight. The M8 measures just 7.35mm thick and weighs 178g. According to the company, it is the slimmest and lightest phone in its category.
According to the source, the Poco M8 runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. It packs a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 20MP front camera. Power comes from a 5,520 mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging.
