Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Turbo 5 Series will launch in China on January 29. The lineup includes the Redmi Turbo 5 and the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. The company shared the announcement on Weibo and also teased key design elements ahead of the event.
At the same launch event, Xiaomi will introduce the Buds 8 Pro and the Pad 2 Pro Harry Potter Edition. This suggests the brand is building a broader ecosystem push around the Turbo 5 Series.
In terms of design, the Redmi Turbo 5 Series will feature a CNC metal frame and rounded corners. Xiaomi has also used a fiberglass rear panel and added a dual LED flash setup. These choices point to a mix of durability and modern styling.
The Redmi Turbo 5 Max will be available in Ocean Breeze Blue and Sunrise Orange. Xiaomi has already shown the Sunrise Orange variant, which gives the phone a bold and fresh look.
On the hardware side, the Turbo 5 Max will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. It will also pack a massive 9,000mAh battery. Xiaomi pairs this battery with 100W wired charging support, aiming to balance long usage time with fast top-ups.
