Xiaomi Teases Redmi Turbo 5 Max With Dimensity 9500s and Large Battery

Xiaomi is moving quickly with its Turbo lineup. After launching the Redmi Turbo 4 and Turbo 4 Pro earlier this year, the company has now teased the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. This model is expected to arrive before the rest of the Turbo 5 series.

Xiaomi says the Turbo 5 Max will be the fastest phone with the largest battery in the CNY 2,500 segment. That price equals about $360 or €305, though international prices are usually higher.

The official teaser shared little else. However, leaks suggest the new Turbo phones will feature metal frames with rounded corners and large displays. They are also expected to run on MediaTek Dimensity 8 and 9-series processors.

Reports claim the Redmi Turbo 5 will use the Dimensity 8500 chipset. The Redmi Turbo 5 Pro is expected to feature the Dimensity 9500e. Certification data also indicates 100W fast charging support on the Pro model.

The Turbo 5 Pro is said to include a 1.5K LTPS OLED display. It may also feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Leaks now suggest the Redmi Turbo 5 Max will use a Dimensity 9500s chipset. This processor is believed to be a variant of the Dimensity 9400+. The new Redmi Turbo 5 series is expected to debut later this month.
