Students and staff in Islamabad’s federal government educational institutions will soon experience an extended break. They will receive up to 11 consecutive off-days. Officials have merged the upcoming spring holidays with the Eid ul Fitr holidays. Consequently, this creates a long, continuous break for institutions that follow the notified schedule.
Based on the circulating holiday chain, the extended stretch covers several different events. First, students will observe the Eid holidays on March 19, March 20, and March 21. Next, March 22 falls on a Sunday. Subsequently, March 23 brings an official national holiday. Right after that, the official spring break begins. Federal government schools and colleges will remain completely closed from March 24 to March 27 for these spring holidays. Finally, March 28 marks another Sunday. Therefore, this combination results in an uninterrupted run of days off for many students in the capital.
This extended break gives students and staff ample time to rest. Afterwards, educational institutions will prepare to resume normal classes. According to the official notification, schools and colleges will officially reopen their doors on March 30 once the closure period ends.
