For the first time, Pakistan is making a debut with promising startups in GITEX Startups Movement. This global startup movement will host participants from 40+ countries. Participation from Pakistan is being sponsored by Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) with support of Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@sha).
With the joint efforts of NestI/O, Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North America (OPEN Karachi), Institute of Business Administration (IBA) CED, Technology Incubation Centre NUST, Beaconhouse National University (BNU), MadJoint, The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Islamabad, Young Entrepreneurs Forum (YEF) and University of Central Punjab (UCP), 6 promising startups were confirmed to participate after clearing the selection process in an event scheduled from 16-20 October 2016 in Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC). Teams from Pakistan will rally together with startups from across the globe to drive the whole technology industry forward.
A special Pakistan pavilion will be provided for the Pakistani teams where they will be showcasing their business. The event will support grass root innovation from Pakistan by enabling them to share their success, get secure funding and find routes to promote/market their products and services by connecting them with 400+ investors and 20,000 CXOs.
