Vivid Technologies, a startup previously incubated at Plan9 and accelerated at LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship has just closed seed stage funding of $ 350K from a combination of investors, consisting of Sunbridge Ventures, Rosemont Group, Telefonica, and Conrad Labs. The startup aims to turn IVR system into interactive visual and touch experience, completely transforming the user experience.
Omer Khushnood, CEO Vivid Technologies is extremely encouraged by the faith of all the stakeholders that have believed in his idea, “I just want to keep reminding ourselves that entrepreneurship is not about the size of the round but actually to be able to create something of value, something really significant. The idea that “we can do better” just got real. Personally, I am humbled by this validation and the trust of our investors and partners.”
Currently working out of London, Vivid is working on a technology to improve the customer experience by introducing a visual navigation IVR (Interactive Voice Response) in a clutter-free, simplified and more consumable manner on smart phones. Not only does this solution reduces wait time to ten folds, but it also decreases traffic for incoming call centers by approximately 35 percent.
However this is not all, Omer has big plans ahead of him, including options for value-added services for corporate clients as well as multimedia content that users can engage with while waiting to be connected to a call center agent. Chat room applications, company information, music, games, and videos are just to name a few. “We are geared up to make every dollar count and expend every cent to create some degree of impact”, he says. “I am looking forward to a journey that is less certain but more exciting, not as much safe but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!”
