Pakistani Startup Myco Leads Global Votes, Reaches Meet the Drapers Finale

Pakistani entrepreneur-led startup Myco has secured a place in the grand finale of Meet the Drapers, ranking as the most voted startup globally. The announcement was made by Myco’s founder, Umair Masoom, in a LinkedIn post.

With 95,125 votes, Myco led the competition, followed by Investbanq with 88,931 votes and Cross Curve with 83,793 votes. The competition saw strong participation, with other notable contenders including BitGrit (73,053 votes), Fuzzy Sequence AI (63,912 votes), and Qazi AI (61,858 votes).

Myco is a decentralized video ecosystem that enables viewers to earn from watching content and creators to earn from creating content. The platform offers features such as live monetization, crowdfunding, gating NFTs, and fractional ownership of content, empowering both audiences and content creators.

In the past year, Myco has seeded, funded, and curated over 50 film and TV productions through its self-sustaining ecosystem. The platform boasts almost 20 million registered users worldwide, 2,000+ leading content creator channels, and more than 1 million user-generated videos (UGC).

Myco initially made headlines by acquiring the global streaming rights for Meet the Drapers, a well-known startup pitching competition. The company later received strong global support, helping it become one of the most voted startups worldwide.

The Paklaunch (PL) community played a role in gathering support, and efforts from Aly Fahd contributed to bringing Meet the Drapers to Pakistan and onto the Myco platform. Support from various communities helped propel Myco to the finale, where it will pitch to investor Tim Draper and other judges.

The grand finale of Meet the Drapers Season 7 will take place in San Francisco from April 1st to April 3rd. Viewers can watch the Meet the Drapers Season 7 finale live on the Myco app, accessible via iOS, Google Play Store, and Smart TVs.
