Islamabad to Get Free WiFi at 30 Locations by December 2025

The National Assembly was told on Tuesday that Islamabad will soon get free WiFi at 30 key locations. The service is expected to launch by December 30 this year.

In a written reply to MNA Ibrar Ahmad, Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi shared the update. He said the initiative aims to improve digital access and bring more convenience to the public.

The Capital Development Authority is working with the National Telecommunication Corporation to deliver the project. According to the minister, the plan supports Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision of a digitally connected Pakistan.

The first rollout will cover 30 sites in Islamabad, including public transport stations, parks, hospitals, and commercial hubs.

Naqvi confirmed that the completion deadline is set for the end of December, depending on technical readiness. He added that free WiFi will help residents, boost business, and support e-governance in the capital.
