Motorola’s New Flagships

Motorola is preparing to release two flagship smartphones soon: the X70 Air Pro in China and the Signature model globally. Both are powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, suggesting they could be identical devices with different names in separate markets, much like the X70 Air and Edge 70.

The Motorola X70 Air Pro has already cleared TENAA certification in China, confirming its 5G support and key specifications. Measuring 162.1 x 76.4 x 7 mm and weighing 187g, it features a 6.78-inch OLED display with a sharp 1264×2780 resolution.

The phone houses a 5,100 mAh battery, which will likely be marketed with a slightly higher typical capacity. Users can choose between 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM, alongside 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage.

Photography is handled by a triple 50MP rear camera setup, reportedly including a periscope telephoto lens, while selfies are captured by another 50MP sensor. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, and the device is expected to run Android 16 out of the box.
