Honor X9d

HONOR is preparing to bring the Honor X9d to Pakistan on January 17, giving buyers their first look at one of the brand’s most durable and battery-focused smartphones. While the company will officially reveal pricing on launch day, people familiar with the matter told TechJuice that the phone is expected to land in the PKR 110,000 to PKR 120,000 range.

The upcoming launch is drawing attention because the Honor X9d is not a stripped-down local variant. Instead, Pakistan is set to receive the same hardware being sold in international markets, which makes the phone far more competitive in its price segment.

Massive Battery Built for Long-Term Use

At the heart of the device is a massive 8300mAh silicon-carbon battery, paired with 66W fast charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging. This is the same battery setup found in the global model, designed to deliver multi-day usage and long-term health. Honor is also positioning the phone as a solution for users who struggle with battery anxiety during heavy daily use.

Durability is another major selling point. The Honor X9d carries IP68 and IP69K ratings globally, which means it is dust-tight, water-resistant under high pressure, and can survive immersion up to six meters. It is also rated to handle drops from heights of up to 2.5 meters.

Bright OLED Display and AI Cameras

The phone features a 6.79-inch AMOLED display, which is being marketed locally as an eye-comfort OLED panel. Internationally, this screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR, and peak brightness up to 6000 nits, making it one of the brightest displays in its class.

Camera hardware also matches the global version. The Honor X9d uses a 108MP main camera with optical and electronic image stabilization. The international model also includes a 5MP ultrawide camera, even though Honor Pakistan has not yet highlighted it in its materials. A 16MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.

Global Hardware, Local Launch

The Honor X9d runs Android 15 with Magic OS 9 and is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset built on a 4nm process. It uses an octa-core CPU and Adreno 810 GPU. Storage options internationally go up to 512GB with 12GB RAM, starting from 256GB with 8GB RAM, although Honor has not confirmed which variants will be sold in Pakistan.

Connectivity features such as 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, stereo speakers, and an in-display fingerprint sensor are also part of the global model and are expected to be present in the Pakistani version.

What Buyers in Pakistan Can Expect

With its January 17 launch now set, the Honor X9d is shaping up to be a strong option in the upper mid-range smartphone segment. If the expected PKR 110,000 to PKR 120,000 pricing holds, it will compete with devices that focus more on performance or cameras but offer less durability and battery capacity.

Honor is clearly targeting users who want a phone that lasts longer, survives rough use, and still delivers a premium experience. For buyers in Pakistan who rely heavily on their phones for work, travel, or daily tasks, the combination of an 8300 mAh battery, IP69K protection, and a large OLED display makes the Honor X9d a practical choice in its price bracket.
