Embark Studios keeps the momentum going with its second ARC Raiders update of 2026. Patch 1.12.0 dropped yesterday, January 20, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. While the download size is small, the impact is significant. The developers successfully addressed major exploits that have frustrated the community for weeks.
Embark Studios Fixed ‘Stella Montis’ & Duplication Glitches
The headline fix concerns the PvP-heavy map, Stella Montis. Since its release in November, players constantly found ways to go out-of-bounds. These glitches ruined fair play in the map’s tight, winding corridors. Embark Studios claims they have finally fixed these various out-of-bounds locations. This should hopefully end the controversy that has surrounded the map for months.
The update also targets game-breaking economy exploits. According to the official patch notes, Embark resolved an issue that allowed players to duplicate ammo and items. Additionally, the team fixed a geometry bug where players could inflict damage on opponents from behind cover.
Recent Balance Changes & Future Content
This patch follows closely on the heels of update 1.11.0, released just a week ago. That update introduced a cosmetic bundle and delivered heavy nerfs to the “Trigger Nade” and the “Kettle” weapon to curb macro abuse.
Looking ahead, players are still waiting for the rumoured “Toxic Swamp” map condition. While Embark has not released a 2026 roadmap yet, they have teased multiple new maps for the coming year. In-game dialogue currently hints at a potential volcanic map. Furthermore, the developers confirmed they are “super aware” of the high demand for a saved loadout feature, which would drastically reduce downtime in Speranza.
