Telecom operators in Pakistan displayed mixed performance in voice, messaging, and internet services during the fourth-quarter 2025 Quality of Service survey conducted by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
Jazz topped voice call and SMS quality, while Zong led in internet speed, and Ufone and Telenor showed mixed performance during the nationwide Quality of Service assessment in Pakistan.
Voice Call Quality and SMS Reliability
Jazz achieved the highest voice quality score at 3.85 percent, followed by Zong at 3.76 percent, Telenor at 3.64 percent, and Ufone at 3.59 percent nationwide.
Ufone recorded the fastest call connection time at 3.6 percent, with Telenor second at 2.74 percent, Jazz at 2.6 percent, and Zong third at 2.51 percent in the survey.
Call connection ratios showed Ufone leading with 99.46 percent, followed by Jazz at 99.4 percent, Zong at 99.22 percent, and Telenor at 99.06 percent.
SMS performance revealed Telenor’s average send time at 3.41 seconds, Zong at 2.71 seconds, Jazz at 2.61 seconds, while SMS success rates were highest for Jazz at 99.49 percent, Zong 99.27 percent, Ufone 98.4 percent, and Telenor 98.01 percent.
Data Download and Upload Speeds
The average download speed experience across all devices was 18.60 Mbps, while high-end devices recorded a significantly higher average of 30.80 Mbps during the survey period.
In operator rankings for download speed, Zong secured the top spot with 18.24 Mbps, followed by Jazz at 17.58 Mbps, Ufone at 12.18 Mbps, and Telenor at 6.55 Mbps.
For upload speed experience, the national average stood at 5.59 Mbps, showing notable differences among operators, with Zong leading at 7.09 Mbps and Telenor lagging at 2.27 Mbps.
Jazz secured second place in upload speed with 6.42 Mbps, Ufone ranked third at 3.88 Mbps, and Telenor remained fourth at 2.27 Mbps.
Network latency was measured across major cities, with Jazz recording 116 milliseconds, Telenor 75 milliseconds, Ufone 81 milliseconds, and Zong 101 milliseconds.
Higher latency directly affects mobile broadband performance, causing slower response times, while Telenor led with the lowest 75 milliseconds.
