Construction and rehabilitation work on a slip road at Faizabad Interchange has officially started under the supervision of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to improve traffic flow and commuter convenience in Rawalpindi.
The project was launched on the directions of Rawalpindi Commissioner and Director General RDA Engineer Aamir Khattak. According to officials, the RDA Engineering Directorate has begun construction and rehabilitation work on the slip road along with the installation of informational signboards at key locations.
The scheme has been estimated to cost Rs. 15.49 million. The project was inaugurated by Chairman of the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team Punjab and Member of the Provincial Assembly (PP-17) Raja Hanif during a ceremony attended by officials and staff of relevant departments.
Under the project, the existing slip road at Faizabad Interchange will be repaired and rehabilitated to improve its overall condition. Informational signboards will also be installed to help guide motorists and support better traffic management in the area.
Officials of the Rawalpindi Development Authority said the initiative is expected to regulate traffic movement around the interchange and facilitate commuters traveling through one of the busiest junctions connecting Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
