The United States Embassy in Islamabad has announced that immigrant and nonimmigrant visa appointments in Pakistan will remain suspended until March 20, while routine and emergency services for U.S. citizens will continue.
According to the embassy, all scheduled visa appointments have been cancelled through March 20, and affected applicants will receive email instructions regarding the rescheduling of their appointments.
Applicants have also been advised to check the status of their appointments on the official embassy website for further updates.
Meanwhile, the embassy confirmed that consular services at the U.S. Consulate General Karachi and U.S. Consulate General Lahore will remain suspended during this period.
Officials said the suspension affects both immigrant and nonimmigrant visa processing, though essential services for U.S. citizens in Pakistan will continue without interruption.
The embassy urged applicants to monitor official communication channels for updates regarding new appointment schedules.
