Unknown thieves broke into a branch of Sapphire in Sialkot and stole cash worth more than Rs 6 million, according to a police report filed on March 9, 2026.
According to the complaint submitted to local police, the incident occurred late at night when unidentified suspects allegedly broke the shop’s locks and entered the store. The complainant, an employee who has been working at the outlet for the past three years, informed authorities that the suspects managed to access the cash counter and took approximately Rs 61,42,643 before fleeing the scene.
Police officials stated that CCTV cameras installed at the outlet captured footage of the suspects entering the shop. Initial observations suggest that multiple individuals were involved in the burglary.
Following the complaint, police registered a case against unknown suspects under Sections 457 and 380 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which relate to night-time housebreaking and theft.
Authorities said an investigation has been launched and CCTV footage is being reviewed to identify the suspects. Police have also contacted nearby businesses to gather further evidence that may help trace those involved in the robbery.
Officials added that efforts are underway to arrest the culprits and recover the stolen amount.
