Huawei has expanded its Pura lineup with the introduction of the Huawei Pura 90, positioned alongside the Pro models. While it does not carry the same vibrant design language as the Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max, it focuses more on performance balance and endurance. The device stands out with a larger battery, a refined build, and a traditional triple camera system on the back.
The Huawei Pura 90 is available in Snow White, Velvet Black, and Roland Purple color options. It weighs 210 grams and measures just 7.0mm in thickness, giving it a slim and lightweight feel in hand. Despite its thin profile, the device maintains a solid and premium construction.
On the front, the smartphone features a 6.8-inch display with a resolution of 2856 x 1320 pixels. It uses an LTPO OLED panel with an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate. In addition, the screen supports a 300Hz touch sampling rate for faster responsiveness. Protection is handled by Kunlun Glass, which adds durability against scratches and impact.
The device is also built for tough conditions. It carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings. This means it can survive water immersion up to 2 meters. It is also protected against high-pressure water jets.
The Huawei Pura 90 runs on the 7nm Kirin 9010S chipset. It is paired with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM. Storage options include 256GB and 512GB. The phone operates on Huawei’s HarmonyOS 6.1, offering a smooth software experience.
Battery life is one of the strongest highlights of the Pura 90. It packs a large 6,500mAh battery, which is bigger than its Pro counterparts. Charging is also fast, with 100W wired charging support. It further includes 50W wireless charging for added convenience.
On the camera side, the smartphone carries a triple rear setup. It includes a 12.5MP 13mm f/2.2 ultrawide lens. It also features a 50MP 24mm f/1.8 wide camera. In addition, there is a 50MP 88mm f/2.2 periscope telephoto lens for zoom shots. For selfies, the phone uses a 50MP front camera.
The Huawei Pura 90 comes in three storage variants. These include 12/256GB, 12/512GB, and 16/512GB configurations. Pricing starts at CNY 4,699, followed by CNY 5,199 and CNY 5,699. In conversion, these are approximately €585, £510, ₹64,200; €650, £565, ₹71,000; and €710, £620, ₹77,800. The device is expected to launch before May 13.
