Star Bangladesh fast bowler Nahid Rana has not sought a fresh No Objection Certificate (NOC) to return to ongoing eleventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11.
He had previously received clearance from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) until April 13 before leaving PSL 11 alongside other national players recalled for international commitments.
The right-arm fast bowler was later named in national ODI squad against New Zealand but did not feature in the first two Twenty20 matches of that series there.
Sources indicated the Bangladesh Cricket Board is considering resting the pacer to manage workload ahead of an upcoming two match Test series against Pakistan soon.
It is worth noting that the Test series between the two will begin at Sher Bangla Cricket Stadium in Dhaka from May 8 to 12 as part of the World Test Championship cycle.
The second Test is scheduled at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from May 16 to 20 completing the two match series between the sides there overall.
Rana played four matches for Peshawar Zalmi in the tournament taking seven wickets with an economy rate of 5.42 before returning to Bangladesh recently home.
Sources added that if Rana had applied for a new No Objection Certificate the Bangladesh Cricket Board would have reviewed the request before making decision.
Fellow Bangladesh seamer Mustafizur Rahman received No Objection Certificates in two phases and will rejoin Lahore Qalandars from April 24 remaining available until May 3.
