Association spokesman Nauman Butt confirmed supply problems have persisted for several days in Islamabad, with tankers denied entry at multiple locations, including Rawalpindi.
Fuel supply vehicles for Peshawar and Islamabad airports remain parked at depots, raising concerns that aviation fuel deliveries could be interrupted if restrictions continue.
Butt stated crude oil transportation has also been obstructed, with record declines observed in deliveries and collections, worsening the overall petroleum supply chain situation.
The association appealed to Islamabad Commissioner for immediate intervention, requesting permission for tanker entry to restore supply operations and prevent disruption.
Earlier, Attock Refinery Limited shut down its main crude processing unit after supply disruptions caused by traffic restrictions in Islamabad affected the movement of crude oil and refinery logistics.
The disruption in supply chains forced the refinery to suspend operations at its principal crude unit, raising concerns about potential impacts on fuel production and supply.
Industry sources said transport restrictions in the federal capital disrupted the movement of crude and operational inputs needed to sustain refinery activity.
