The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) have agreed to launch a joint venture covering three undeveloped Islamabad sectors, D-13, E-13 and F-13.
The CDA is currently speeding up land allotment across all three sectors so the areas can be formally cleared ahead of development work beginning.
Once the land clearance process is complete, both authorities will sign a formal agreement to proceed with the development of the three sectors together.
The three sectors have remained undeveloped since 2008, with the CDA having been unable to advance construction work across any of them during that period.
The decision follows DHA’s faster delivery on the Margalla Enclave project, compared to the CDA-led Kari Model Village initiative, which has seen slow progress since 2010.
Authorities are also expected to finalise a separate joint venture between DHA and the housing authority covering sectors G-12 and F-12 in the near future.
