Huawei has officially introduced the Huawei Nova 15 Max during an event in Thailand. The phone’s biggest attraction is its massive 8,500mAh battery, making it one of the largest batteries available in a mainstream smartphone.
The device may look familiar to some users. That is because the Nova 15 Max appears to be a renamed version of the Huawei Enjoy 90 Pro Max, which Huawei launched earlier in China back in March.
Huawei has not confirmed the processor inside the phone yet. However, reports suggest it could use the Kirin 8000 chipset, the same chip found in the Enjoy 90 Pro Max. The handset features a 6.84-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming.
On the back, the Nova 15 Max carries a dual-camera setup. It includes a 50MP RYYB primary sensor alongside a 2MP secondary camera. Huawei has placed the cameras inside a circular camera module. Meanwhile, the front side houses an 8MP selfie camera for video calls and social media content.
The biggest talking point remains the huge 8,500mAh battery. Huawei also supports 40W fast charging, helping users recharge the large battery more quickly. Besides that, the phone comes with several modern features. These include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an infrared sensor, Wi-Fi 7, 4G, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port.
Huawei has also added a dedicated X button that allows users to perform quick actions with a single press. In addition, the device carries SGS five-star durability certification for improved reliability.
The Huawei Nova 15 Max will arrive in Blush Gold, Golden Black, and Lake Cyan color options across selected European and global markets. In European regions, the smartphone will start at €449.
