Xiaomi Poco could soon expand its X8 lineup with two new smartphones. A new leak has revealed alleged marketing materials for the Poco X8 and X8 Power. The leaked details suggest both phones could arrive with large batteries and strong durability ratings.
Interestingly, the two phones appear closely related to Redmi’s upcoming devices. The Poco X8 looks like a rebranded Redmi Note 17 Pro based on the leaked specifications. Meanwhile, the X8 Power could share most of its hardware with the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.
According to the leaked slides, the Poco X8 will feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display. The panel is said to reach 3,500 nits of peak brightness and use Gorilla Glass Victus 2. For photography, it will reportedly include a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 16MP selfie camera.
The phone is also expected to pack a 9,000 mAh battery. It could support 67W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset is reportedly responsible for performance.
Poco may also give the X8 strong protection against dust and water. The leaked materials list IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. The company could also provide four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
The Poco X8 Power will reportedly keep the same 6.83-inch AMOLED display and 50MP main camera. However, it could add an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 32MP front-facing camera. Its biggest upgrade would be the 10,000 mAh battery, paired with 100W wired charging.
The X8 Power is also said to support 27W reverse-wired charging. Performance could come from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC. Like the standard model, it may offer IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K protection.
Software support could also remain unchanged across both phones. Poco is reportedly planning four major OS updates and six years of security updates. That would give the devices a longer software life than many phones in this segment.
The latest leak claims the Poco X8 and X8 Power could launch in India by early September. That would put both phones just weeks away from their expected debut. They are also reportedly set to cost less than the Poco X8 Pro.
The rebranding strategy could help Poco expand its lineup without major hardware changes. However, the leaked marketing materials have not been officially confirmed by Poco. More details, including pricing and launch dates, should emerge closer to the announcement.
