Neowiz has officially confirmed that ‘Lies of P 2’ is in full-scale development. The publisher shared this update in its recent Q1 2026 earnings report. Previously, the game successfully completed its prototype stage. Now, subsidiary developer Round8 is moving forward at full speed.
Lies of P 2 Passing the Prototype Phase
Earlier this week, on May 11, Neowiz released its Q1 earnings report. The document outlines the publisher’s “FY2026 Strategic Direction”. Specifically, it lists the Lies of P sequel under the “IP Franchising” category. The development team has already created an internal vertical slice. However, Neowiz has not revealed any specific story or gameplay details yet.
Consequently, players do not know if Pinocchio will return as the protagonist. The sequel might explore a completely different literary classic instead. The original game’s post-credits scene previously teased this exact possibility.

Building on a Soulslike Legacy
The original Lies of P launched in September 2023. It quickly left a strong impression on the gaming community. Today, many consider it one of the best non-FromSoftware Soulslikes ever made. Currently, the game boasts an 82 Top Critic Average on OpenCritic. It also holds a solid 88% critic recommendation rate. Furthermore, GameRant awarded the title an 8/10 at launch, praising its highly rewarding combat.
Neowiz first teased this sequel back in November 2023. During that time, the director also revealed concept art for the game’s upcoming Overture story DLC.
Expanding the Neowiz Portfolio
The recent earnings report highlights four additional games. Neowiz currently has these titles in full development alongside the sequel. The list includes “Project Rubicon” and “Project CF”. Additionally, Zakazane Studio and WolfEye Studios are actively working on new titles.
Zakazane is a Polish studio. Former 11 Bit Studios and CD Projekt Red developers founded it in 2022. They are currently developing a single-player RPG. In this specific game, players will assume the role of a mining town sheriff.
Meanwhile, WolfEye Studios is building a first-person action RPG. Ex-Arkane developers formed this studio, and they previously shipped Weird West. Finally, Neowiz has not confirmed release windows for any of these upcoming projects just yet.
