A fresh leak has revealed more details about the upcoming Redmi K100 Pro. Earlier reports suggested the phone could pack a massive 9,000mAh battery or even larger.
According to the latest leak, the Redmi K100 Pro will feature a battery capacity starting with an “8.” This means the phone could offer a battery between 8,000mAh and 9,000mAh. Even so, it may still become the largest battery ever used in Redmi’s K-series lineup.
That said, the title is no longer guaranteed. The Redmi K90 Max already carries a huge 8,550mAh battery. Interestingly, Xiaomi skipped the “K90 Pro” branding in that series. The latest leak also adds new charging details. Earlier reports mentioned 100W wired charging support only. Now, the tipster claims the Redmi K100 Pro will also support 50W wireless charging.
The smartphone is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. In addition, the leak points to a “dual-core platform.” This hints at an extra chip similar to Xiaomi’s D2 processor, which appeared in the Redmi K90 Max and K90 Pro Max.
The D2 chip mainly improved AI performance and graphics processing. It helped deliver smoother visuals during gaming sessions. Because of this, the Redmi K100 Pro could target gamers once again.
The display specs also look impressive. The phone is rumored to feature a 185Hz screen. Most mobile games cannot naturally reach that refresh rate. Therefore, Xiaomi may rely on the extra chip to boost gaming performance.
The source also described the panel as an “ultra-clear display.” Xiaomi has previously used this term for some of its gaming monitors and TVs. However, the company has not fully explained what the branding actually means for smartphones.
For cameras, the Redmi K100 Pro may include a 200MP primary sensor. It could also feature a 50MP telephoto camera with macro shooting support. Meanwhile, the phone is expected to offer symmetrical stereo speakers and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The leak further claims the device will feature a fully waterproof body, likely with an IP69 rating. Xiaomi may also introduce an Apple-inspired design for the smartphone.
Alongside the K100 Pro, leaks about the Redmi K100 Pro Max have also surfaced online. The higher-end model could feature a larger 1/1.28-inch 200MP main camera sensor. Reports also suggest a 50MP periscope telephoto camera.
The Redmi K100 Pro Max is expected to use the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. In comparison, the standard K100 Pro may stay with the Gen 5 version. However, early reports hint at higher pricing for the Pro Max model. Still, Xiaomi has not officially confirmed any details about the Redmi K100 series yet.
