Blizzard has officially unveiled the new Warlock class for Diablo Immortal. Furthermore, this addition marks the 10th playable class in the hit mobile game. Players can jump into the action next week on June 17 alongside the massive 5.0 update.
Initially, Blizzard announced this class back in February during the Diablo 30th Anniversary celebration. Consequently, Diablo Immortal becomes the third game in the franchise to welcome the Warlock this year. Previously, Diablo 2: Resurrected received the class through its Reign of the Warlock DLC. Meanwhile, Diablo 4 introduced the Warlock alongside the Paladin in the Lord of Hatred expansion.

The Hybrid Warlock & Return to Lut Gholein
The Diablo Immortal Warlock operates as a hybrid-ranged summoner. As a result, you can fluidly swap between playing as a ranged caster and a demonic commander. Additionally, the class wields devastating infernal magic.
More importantly, players take control of a signature demon named Soulgorger right from level one. During combat, Soulgorger actively devours enemy demons. Then, it absorbs their power to grow stronger in real time. Therefore, players can seamlessly stack demonic summons, infernal magic, and Soulgorger’s devour abilities. Ultimately, you can scale your Warlock builds to incredible heights by combining these skills with Diablo Immortal’s Legendary Gems and gear.
Beyond the new class, the 5.0 update brings a wealth of fresh content. Most notably, the classic region of Lut Gholein makes its grand return. Fans last saw this desert city in Diablo 2 Act 2.
Builders originally constructed Lut Gholein atop ancient Vizjerei ruins. Because of this, the city holds deep ties to Warlock lore and their long-standing traditions of demon summoning. Now, players can explore two entirely distinct districts within the desert city.
Face New Helliquary Bosses in Diablo Immortal
Finally, the 5.0 update heavily bolsters the game’s endgame activities. The developers will introduce three brand-new Helliquary bosses. Consequently, players will find plenty of challenging encounters to test their freshly built Warlock setups. Between the new class, a classic location, and tough new bosses, the upcoming update breathes exciting fresh life into the mobile entry of the franchise.
