The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) blocked 202 hostile digital assets between April and May, citing national digital security as the primary justification for the enforcement action.
PTA maintained a round-the-clock cyber surveillance system throughout the period, enabling timely detection of potential threats, misinformation, and organized online propaganda campaigns.
Indian-origin content was removed from multiple over-the-top platforms during the same period, as part of efforts to limit cross-border digital influence and restrict hostile online material.
PTA coordinated with relevant institutions to counter disinformation campaigns and misleading content originating across the border, taking swift action against identified propaganda sources.
The authority stated that these combined measures strengthened national digital security and successfully disrupted organized propaganda campaigns directed against Pakistan.
