The Punjab government has appointed new chairpersons for all nine Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) across the province. Furthermore, the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) issued the official notification to confirm these changes.
These appointments officially took effect earlier this week on July 1, 2026. Consequently, these leaders will manage their respective Punjab BISE boards until December 31, 2027. The government executed these provincial postings strictly under the Punjab Deputation Policy, 1998.
The provincial government assigned leadership roles across all major districts. Here is the complete breakdown of the new leadership for each educational board:
| Educational Board | Appointed Chairperson |
|---|---|
| Lahore Board | Dr. Badar-ul-Islam |
| Dera Ghazi Khan Board | Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf |
| Gujranwala Board | Dr. Aqsa Shabbir |
| Faisalabad Board | Dr. Rana Binyamin |
| Rawalpindi Board | Iqbal Mahmood |
| Multan Board | Dr. Ijaz Ahmad |
| Sargodha Board | Abbas Haider |
| Bahawalpur Board | Ishtiaq Ahmad |
| Sahiwal Board | Faisal Ijaz |
Additionally, the government approved specific financial incentives for these new appointees. The newly appointed chairpersons will receive a special “Chairman BISE Allowance”. Specifically, this bonus equals one initial basic pay of their respective pay scales. Therefore, this allowance serves as an added perk for taking over the board operations for the upcoming term.
