Rockstar Games just released the third and final trailer for Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6, officially titled the “Launch Trailer”. The highly anticipated open-world game will arrive in just 34 days.
Fans endured a massive waiting period to reach this point. Initially, Rockstar revealed the very first trailer on December 4, 2023. Afterward, the studio took 519 days to release the next official video. Furthermore, fans waited an additional 478 days before Rockstar showcased any actual gameplay footage. Now, players finally have a definitive, action-packed overview.

GTA 6 Launch Trailer Showcases the Dual Protagonists
This new footage primarily focuses on the dual protagonists. First, it introduces Jason Duval. He is an ex-army soldier. Unfortunately, he left the military on bad terms. Therefore, banks refuse to give him loans or financial help. Meanwhile, Lucia Caminos stands by his side as the second playable character.
Moreover, the trailer heavily emphasizes their romantic and survival-driven dynamic. For instance, the video features a steamy bathroom rendezvous between the couple. Furthermore, they share tense dialogue. Lucia asks if they will be okay. Jason replies that they simply have to get through it because they always stick together. Ultimately, the trailer ends with a dramatic shot of them jumping off a balcony hand-in-hand.
Insane Stunts & an Original Soundtrack
Naturally, Trailer 3 delivers massive action set pieces. In one standout moment, Lucia leaps from a speeding car directly onto a moving plane. Additionally, the footage packs in numerous heists, fistfights, and firefights. Players also see plenty of motorcycle stunts and high-speed police pursuits.
Meanwhile, a brand-new song drives the trailer’s energy. Rockstar confirmed the track is an original song named “Flowers in a Hurricane”. Justice composed the music. Furthermore, the track features major artists, including Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
Ultimately, Rockstar naming this a “Launch Trailer” implies a strategic shift. The studio will likely go completely radio silent until the game officially releases. Given the massive hype, they simply do not need to show anything else.
