The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has banned the correction of bills for protected-category consumers who exceed the 200-unit limit, even by a single unit.
FESCO said no bill corrections will be allowed once consumption crosses 200 units, regardless of the margin. The company has issued these new instructions to staff as part of a tightened billing policy.
According to FESCO officials, strict action will be taken against staff members found negligent in billing matters.
Under the new policy, the protected-category status of the consumer will be terminated if they exceed the unit limit even once within a six-month period.
FESCO confirmed that this policy is now being strictly implemented across all its billing operations.
