LinkedIn has launched a new digital business card feature that lets users design custom cards and share their profile information in person. The platform previewed the tool at its “Connection by Design” showcase event last week and has now started rolling it out globally.
The cards include a user’s headshot, job title, and a scannable QR code that links directly to their LinkedIn profile. Users can also choose from a range of design templates to personalize the card’s look. In addition, they can save the finished card to their phone’s digital wallet for quick access at networking events.
The concept builds on a QR code feature that LinkedIn first introduced in 2018. However, that earlier version lacked customization options and never gained significant traction among users. The new tool adds design flexibility and wallet integration to make in-person connections easier.
Linkedin just launched Business Cards.
You can modify them to add your personality and add it to your apple wallet. People can scan it and add it to their virtual wallet to connect later.

LinkedIn also announced several other features alongside the business cards. The platform now lets Premium subscribers add private notes to other people’s profiles. This helps users remember details like where they met someone. Furthermore, LinkedIn has started testing a separate “Network” feed in the US, UK, India, and Australia. The feed shows posts only from a user’s connections and follows, filtering out viral content from strangers.
Meanwhile, LinkedIn introduced a new creator dashboard for managing content and tracking performance. The platform also started testing In-Stream Ads for videos with select US creators and advertisers. As a result, creators can now earn revenue directly from their LinkedIn video content.
The company also noted that founders on LinkedIn have risen 70% in recent years. Similarly, members listing more than one job position have increased 26% since 2019. Consequently, LinkedIn said its goal is to help users “turn those relationships into real opportunities.”
