K-Electric (KE) has partnered with Mashreq Pakistan to introduce a cashback campaign that allows eligible customers to earn up to Rs10,000 on electricity bill payments made through the Mashreq app.
According to a statement issued on Saturday, the offer is available to KE customers who hold or open a Mashreq Current or Current Profit Account and pay their electricity bills using the bank’s mobile application.
Under the campaign, customers can receive cashback ranging from Rs500 to Rs10,000, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
The initiative aims to promote secure, convenient, and cashless transactions while supporting financial inclusion and increasing the adoption of digital payment methods across Pakistan.
KE said that digital payments now account for more than 70% of its total customer transactions. The utility added that over 2.7 million customers, nearly three-fourths of its customer base, are digitally connected, reflecting a growing preference for online payment channels.
Commenting on the partnership, Noor Afshan, Head of Marketing & Customer Experience at K-Electric, said the collaboration is part of the company’s efforts to enhance customer convenience through seamless and accessible payment solutions.
Meanwhile, Aamir Hameed, Country Product Owner at Mashreq Pakistan, said utility bill payments are among the most frequent financial transactions, making them an ideal opportunity to encourage the use of secure digital banking services.
The partnership is expected to support Pakistan’s broader transition toward a more digital and financially inclusive economy while offering customers added value on routine electricity bill payments.
