Dozens of areas across Karachi will experience power outages lasting more than 10 hours on July 23, 2026, as K-Electric carries out scheduled maintenance on multiple feeders.
The utility said the shutdown is necessary because the maintenance work requires the complete suspension of power to entire feeders rather than selected sections.
According to the schedule issued by K-Electric, outage timings will vary by area. In some localities, electricity will remain suspended from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In others, the shutdown will begin at 8 a.m., with power supply resuming by 6 p.m. Several areas are expected to have electricity restored between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
K-Electric has advised residents in the affected areas to make the necessary arrangements before the scheduled shutdown.
