Redmi has shared more details about the upcoming Redmi K100 Pro after recently revealing the design and key features of the Redmi K100 Pro Max. The company has now confirmed the chipset, display, performance figures, colors, and expected price ahead of the official launch in China.
In several posts on Weibo, Redmi confirmed that the Redmi K100 Pro will use the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V chipset. The processor carries the model number SM8850-1-AB. According to the company, the phone achieved 4.09 million points in the AnTuTu benchmark.
Besides the new chipset, the Redmi K100 Pro will include a dedicated graphics chip. It will also feature a 3D circulating cold-pump cooling system to help maintain performance during heavy workloads and gaming.
Redmi also revealed that the smartphone will feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate. The high refresh rate should deliver smoother animations and a better gaming experience. The company also introduced a special Firefly Light Chaser color option. This version comes with a glow-in-the-dark finish. In addition, buyers will be able to choose a White color variant.
Redmi expects the K100 Pro to sell for around CNY 4,000 in China. However, the final retail price will be confirmed at launch. The Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max will launch in China on August 11. Meanwhile, pre-orders for both smartphones are already open in the country
