The Sindh School Education Department has issued a fresh circular revising school timings across the province, with immediate effect from August 6, 2026. All government schools have been directed to strictly comply with the updated schedule.
According to the circular, separate timings have been set for primary, elementary, secondary and higher secondary schools, with variations based on shift type and season.
From August 6 to October 31, single-shift primary schools will operate from 8:00am to 2:30pm on Mondays through Thursdays, and from 8:00am to 1:00pm on Fridays. Starting November 1 and continuing until March 31, these schools will shift to a revised timing of 8:30am to 3:00pm.
For double-shift elementary, secondary and higher secondary schools, the first shift will run from 7:30am to 1:30pm between August 6 and October 31. From November 1 to March 31, the first shift timing will change to 8:00am to 1:45pm.
New timings have also been introduced for single-shift elementary, secondary and higher secondary schools under the same circular.
The Sindh Education Department has instructed all relevant officers and school heads to ensure immediate implementation of the revised schedule. The new timings will remain in force until further orders are issued.
