A Green Bus driver in Renala Khurd drove an entire bus carrying passengers straight to a police station on Monday after a mobile phone was stolen from a passenger during the journey.
The driver shut the bus doors immediately after being informed of the theft, preventing any passenger from leaving the vehicle. He then drove directly to Sadar Police Station, where officers questioned and searched all passengers on board.
Police recovered the stolen mobile phone during the search and arrested the suspect involved in the theft. Legal proceedings against the suspect are underway.
Videos and reports of the incident later circulated on social media, where users praised the driver’s quick response. Several social media users also called for the driver and conductor to be rewarded for their handling of the situation.
