Overwatch Season 4 Brings New Tank Hero & Revamped Battle Pass System
Overwatch Season 4 brings a brand-new tank hero named D.Mon to the roster. She hails from the MEKA squad. Blizzard recently revealed her gameplay, showcasing a highly versatile kit.
D.Mon combines the best elements of her MEKA counterpart, D.Va, and Reinhardt. Furthermore, her aggressive playstyle relies on three core abilities: a Plasma Barrier, a Plasma Saber, and a ranged Fusion Repeater.
Blizzard is heavily upgrading how players unlock rewards. The Season 4 Battle Pass introduces customizable tracks. Now, players can choose exactly which Legendary Overwatch Skin they want to pursue on each track.
Additionally, Premium Battle Pass owners receive a new feature called the “Tier Hack”. Players can use this hack once per season. It allows them to swap an eligible Legendary reward for a different cosmetic item from a seasonal “Swap Pool”.
Here is a quick overview of the Season 4 Swap Pool characters:
| Hero | Available Swap Pool Skin |
| Ashe | Raijin |
| Junker Queen | Mob Boss |
| Reinhardt | Cardboard |
| Lifeweaver | Sakura |
| Wrecking Ball | Crustacean |
Later this season, the mid-season update will introduce the Unvaulted Pass. This feature helps players catch up on missed rewards. However, it only applies to content from previously purchased past Battle Passes.
Fresh Cosmetics & Map Reworks
The new Premium Battle Pass features a strong MEKA squad theme. Players can unlock various cyber-themed Legendary skins. Meanwhile, Ultimate Battle Pass purchasers gain instant access to two exclusive Legendary skins: Divine Demon D.Mon and Metalcore Junker Queen.
Additionally, players can earn Mythic Prisms through the Premium Battle Pass. They can spend these prisms to unlock a brand-new Mythic Skin for Genji and a new Mythic Weapon for Sojourn.
Here is a quick breakdown of all the Premium Battle Pass MEKA skins:
| Hero | Skin Name |
| Moira | Cyber Chic |
| Brigitte | Cyber Champ |
| Cassidy | Cyber Cowboy |
| D.Va | Cyber Mechanic |
| Pharah | Cyber Raptor |
Finally, several core maps received massive updates. Busan, Paraiso, and Eichenwalde now display the destructive aftermath of attacks from Talon and the Junkers. As a result, players will discover new visual looks, completely new routes, and fresh traversal options across these battlegrounds.
