Pakistan’s exports of telecommunications, computer, and information services rose 18 percent year-on-year to $417 million in July 2026. The increase shows continued growth in the country’s technology and digital services sector. Exports from these services stood at $354 million in July 2025. The latest figures represent a $63 million increase in one month, highlighting the sector’s growing role in Pakistan’s external earnings.
The strong monthly performance follows solid growth during the previous fiscal year. Exports of telecommunications, computer, and information services reached $4.6 billion in FY2025-26, up from $3.814 billion in FY2024-25.
That marks growth of around 21 percent over the year. The sector also remained Pakistan’s largest contributor to services exports during FY2025-26. Pakistan’s total services exports reached $10.02 billion during FY2025-26. This compares with $8.45 billion recorded during FY2024-25, showing strong growth across the broader services sector.
Other major services categories also contributed to the total. Transport services reached $916 million, while travel exports stood at $1.116 billion during FY2025–26. Other business services recorded exports of $2.155 billion during the same period. However, technology-related services remained the biggest contributor to Pakistan’s services exports.
The government is also working to increase the country’s IT and digital exports. Its efforts include better broadband access, support for freelancers, and measures to help software companies and technology exporters. The July figures provide a strong start to FY2026-27. Technology services continue to gain ground as Pakistan looks for new sources of foreign exchange.
Pakistan’s overall services exports also recorded strong growth in July. They increased to $927 million from $728 million a year earlier, marking a rise of around 27 percent.
