Saudi Arabia recorded 15.2 million Umrah pilgrims during the first quarter of the current Umrah season, according to figures released by the General Authority for Statistics.
The total number of pilgrims performing Umrah in the first quarter stood at 15,233,767.
Domestic pilgrims from within KSA numbered 9.5 million, while Saudi nationals accounted for 28.9 percent of total pilgrims. Men made up 56.4 percent of pilgrims and women 40.6 percent.
The General Authority for Statistics also reported that applications received under the official Hajj scheme reached 92,000.
Separately, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that new Umrah visas will be issued until March 9, 2027, while the deadline for pilgrims to enter Saudi Arabia under these visas is March 23, 2027.
