The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has just officially announced the results of the Written Competitive Examination for the Civil Superior Services (CSS) 2026. The commission conducted the CSS-2026 written examination earlier this year, running from February 4th to February 15th. The newly released statistics reveal a highly competitive recruitment cycle.
CSS 2026 Written Exam Results & Statistics
FPSC released a strict breakdown of the candidate turnout and success rate. A massive total of 24,321 candidates initially applied for the written exam. However, only 17,351 candidates actually appeared in at least one paper. Furthermore, the number of candidates who sat for all papers dropped to 16,342.
Ultimately, the commission passed only 476 candidates. Consequently, the overall pass percentage sits at a strict 2.74%.

Interestingly, the gender ratio among the successful candidates remains remarkably balanced. Exactly 239 male candidates and 237 female candidates cleared the rigorous examination. Meanwhile, the initial application pool consisted of 13,206 male candidates and 11,025 female candidates.
Before the written stage, candidates first had to clear the MCQs based Preliminary Test (MPT) for CSS-2026. The FPSC received a staggering 63,368 applications for this initial screening. Out of those applicants, 43,189 candidates appeared for the test. Subsequently, 36,758 candidates successfully passed the MPT. This successful cohort included 20,625 male candidates and 16,133 female candidates.

FPSC extended its congratulations to all the successful candidates. The commission stated that it will intimate the schedule for the Medical Examination, Psychological Assessment, and Viva Voce in due course of time.
