Google is offering jobs in Pakistan, marking an important step in its local operations. The global tech giant has posted new high-level vacancies for its Karachi office. Consequently, this move signals a targeted approach to expanding its enterprise footprint in the country. However, you should understand what these roles actually entail before sending out your resume.
The Latest Google Jobs in Karachi
Currently, Google is hiring for three highly specialized, senior-level positions based in Karachi. These roles focus heavily on B2B sales, corporate strategy, and educational contracts. Therefore, the company is not currently launching a mass engineering recruitment drive. The available positions include:
- Account Manager, Technology and Consumer Goods, Large Customer Sales: This position demands fluency in Urdu and English. Furthermore, it focuses on digital advertising and business development.
- Google for Education Lead: This is a heavily strategic position. It requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in technology sales.
- Analytical Lead, Planning and Measurement, Large Customer Sales: This is a senior analytics position. Interestingly, Google explicitly prioritizes applicants who already possess the right to work in Singapore without requiring visa sponsorship.
A Calculated Corporate Strategy
The opening of these Pakistan-based positions does not indicate a massive local hiring spree. Instead, it shows a calculated, gradual expansion. Google is focusing strictly on large customer sales and government education sectors. The company is actively looking for experienced veterans who can manage large corporate portfolios and influence senior stakeholders.
This targeted hiring drive builds on a foundation laid several years ago. Google officially registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) as a foreign company on November 8, 2022. At that time, the company established a local liaison office. The primary goal was to explore local business opportunities and support the country’s fast-growing tech ecosystem.
Today is August 31, 2026. Almost four years after its initial registration, we are finally seeing the direct results of that groundwork. Google is offering jobs in Pakistan. Ultimately, this remains a highly positive development for the local corporate tech landscape, even if it is a gradual, strategic build rather than an overnight boom.
