Anker announced its first over-the-counter hearing aids at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The device forms part of a broader lineup unveiled by the company’s Soundcore audio division. Notably, the new hearing aids run on Anker’s proprietary THUS AI chip, the same processor powering its latest earbuds and headphones.
The timing could prove fortuitous for hearing aid users. Just months ago, LXE Hearing exited the US market. That company owned Eargo and Lexie Hearing, two major OTC manufacturers. As a result, Anker now has an opportunity to fill the void these departures created.
The hearing aids use a receiver-in-canal design. This means the main body rests behind the ear. According to Anker, the device targets the single biggest frustration among hearing aid users. That frustration involves understanding voices in noisy places. These include crowded restaurants, family gatherings, and other social events.
The technology takes a different approach from traditional hearing aids. Older devices often amplify all surrounding sound indiscriminately. However, Anker’s device works more selectively. The THUS AI audio chip is crafted to ensure crystal-clear calls, even in the midst of noisy environments. It works seamlessly with a six-sensor array that features four high-SNR microphones and two bone-conduction sensors, allowing it to effectively filter out background noise and focus on your voice.
The new AeroClip 2 Pro earbuds boast an Ergo-Fit design and an ear clip style, providing a snug and comfortable fit for all-day wear while still letting in ambient sounds. They feature an open acoustic architecture powered by an 11mm dual-diaphragm driver, and they also support the high-resolution audio codec LDAC.
When it comes to battery life, the AeroClip 2 Pro can deliver up to 10 hours of playback at 50% volume on a single charge, with an additional 30 hours available in the storage case. Plus, if you pop the ear clips into the case for just 10 minutes, you can enjoy up to three extra hours of playback time.
Charging represents another key selling point. The upcoming model is expected to deliver 12 hours of usage per charge. The charging case extends that to 36 hours total. Additionally, dropping the aids into the case enables fast charging. Just five minutes of charging creates two additional hours of usage. Anker claims this is the fastest charging in the industry.
The hearing aids arrive alongside a wider product push. Anker unveiled nine new products at IFA 2026 across multiple categories. The company also consolidated its various brand names, including Soundcore and eufy, under the single Anker name. The THUS chip now powers products spanning open-ear, over-ear, and in-ear form factors.
Anker has not yet confirmed full pricing or an exact launch date. The company said the hearing aids will arrive later this year. Additional details, including price and timing, will be announced in the coming months.
For now, Pakistani availability and local pricing also remain unconfirmed pending the global rollout.
