Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has introduced a hybrid solar water heater that combines solar energy with an electric backup, allowing continuous water heating even during cloudy weather or reduced sunlight.
The company unveiled the new system in a video posted on its official X account, titled “Ab Pani Garam Karna Hai Samajhdari Se” (“Now It is Time to Heat Water Smartly”).
According to SNGPL, the hybrid system can draw on both solar and electric power to heat water, ensuring uninterrupted service regardless of weather conditions.
The water heater features Wi-Fi-enabled controls that allow users to manage temperature and heating settings remotely. It has a storage capacity of 200 litres and can retain heat for up to 24 hours, making it suitable for extended use without frequent reheating.
SNGPL said the device is designed not only for household use but also for commercial applications, including hotels, restaurants, hospitals and laundries, where consistent hot water supply is essential.
The hybrid solar water heater is priced at Rs128,893, with free shipping and installation included in the cost. Customers can also opt for a 12-month interest-free instalment plan. For further details or to place an order, SNGPL has directed customers to call 1199.
