The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has extended the suspension of trading in the shares of five companies for another 60 days from September 21, 2026.
The companies include Abson Industries Limited (PSX: ABSON), English Leasing Limited (PSX: ENGL), Sadoon Textile Industries Limited (PSX: SDOT), Hakkim Textile Mills Limited (PSX: HKKT), and Suraj Ghee Industries Limited (PSX: SURAJ).
According to a PSX notice, trading in these companies will remain suspended until the reasons for the suspension are resolved or for another 60-day period beginning September 21.
The companies have failed to comply with several regulatory requirements, including holding annual general meetings, submitting annual audited financial statements, and paying outstanding dues to the exchange.
Abson Industries also failed to induct its ordinary shares into the Central Depository System (CDS). An official liquidator has been appointed by the court following a winding-up petition filed by the company’s creditors.
English Leasing is facing a winding-up petition filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), along with other outstanding compliance issues.
Sadoon Textile Industries has also failed to induct its ordinary shares into the CDS, while the SECP has issued an order to initiate winding-up proceedings against the company.
Similarly, Hakkim Textile Mills has not inducted its shares into the CDS and is facing a winding-up petition filed by the SECP.
Suraj Ghee Industries has also failed to induct its ordinary shares into the CDS and faces winding-up petitions filed by both the SECP and its creditors.
The PSX said the suspension was extended under Subsection (7) of Section 19 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.11 of the PSX Regulations.
