K-Electric has said it may pursue further legal action after the NEPRA Appellate Tribunal dismissed its appeals against regulatory decisions issued on October 20, 2025.
The power utility said the tribunal announced its decision verbally, while the detailed written order has yet to be issued.
According to K-Electric, the decision could have a significant adverse impact on its Multi-Year Tariff (MYT) framework for the FY2024-FY2030 control period. The company described the potential financial impact as unsustainable for its business.
K-Electric said it is waiting for the tribunal’s detailed written order before determining its next legal steps. Once the order is received, the company will review its findings and consider the legal remedies available to it.
The appeals were filed against regulatory decisions issued by NEPRA on October 20, 2025. The company has not yet announced whether it will formally challenge the tribunal’s decision in a higher court.
