Honor has revealed the price of one Magic9 variant ahead of the series’ official launch on September 28. The company’s CEO, Li Jian, shared the details today. The 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model will normally cost CNY 6,499 ($968). However, a special anniversary offer will lower the price to CNY 5,999 ($893).
The discount marks the tenth anniversary of Honor’s Magic series. A Chinese national subsidy can reduce the price further to CNY 5,499 ($819). The pricing puts the Magic9 against several recently launched flagship phones in China. For comparison, the vivo X500 costs CNY 5,999 ($893) with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The vivo X500 does not offer a 16GB RAM option. Meanwhile, the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage X500 Pro costs CNY 7,999 ($1,191). That price matches the Xiaomi 18 Pro in China. The Oppo Find X10, meanwhile, is priced at CNY 6,499 ($968).
Honor has yet to confirm the Magic9’s full specifications. However, several reports have already detailed what could be included. The phone is rumored to feature a 6.37-inch LTPS OLED display. It could offer a 1236×2664 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC is also expected to power the Magic9. The phone could also feature a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.4″ type sensor. The rumored camera setup also includes a 50MP ultrawide camera. A 200MP periscope telephoto camera could provide 3.5x optical zoom.
That telephoto camera is expected to use a 1/1.56″ type sensor. For selfies, the Magic9 could feature a 55MP square-format front camera. Power could come from an 8,000 mAh battery. The phone is also expected to support 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Honor is expected to reveal the remaining Magic9 details at its September 28 launch event. It should confirm more pricing and specifications then.
