Islamabad has introduced additional features on the Pak Hajj App, allowing intending pilgrims to manage several stages of their Hajj arrangements online without visiting government offices in person. The Ministry of Religious Affairs announced the update, which expands the range of services available directly through the app.
Under the new features, pilgrims can now modify their accommodation preferences from home, choosing between two-bed, three-bed, family room, or shared arrangements. The app also allows pilgrims to switch between long and short Hajj packages according to their requirements.
The ministry has also streamlined the medical fitness certification process. Pilgrims can print a fitness certificate through the app, have it verified by an authorized doctor, and then upload the verified document back onto the Pak Hajj App or the Hajj portal.
Overseas Pakistanis have been directed to obtain fitness certificates from doctors in their country of residence and upload them through the same process.
Additionally, successful pilgrims selected under the hardship quota can now apply for a mehram or helper through the app. The update also introduces a facility for pilgrims to cancel their Hajj application and request a refund in cases of genuine hardship.
