The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is preparing to launch an e-immigration app aimed at digitizing Pakistan’s immigration process and making travel procedures easier for passengers.
The app will allow travelers to check information about their travel documents and determine whether they are eligible to travel before reaching the airport. The FIA will also review passenger documents through the digital system.
Passengers facing any inquiry will be able to receive relevant information through the app. Those cleared for travel will receive a QR code, allowing their data to be accessed through the immigration system when they arrive at the airport.
The application will also support immigration clearance and other required procedures at airports. The FIA plans to use the system to collect passenger information and conduct risk profiling as part of the immigration process.
According to the details, development of the app has reached its final stages. Its launch is expected to further digitize immigration services and streamline passenger clearance at Pakistani airports.
