Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 9 update to its 2025 flagship devices. The update, based on Android 17, first arrived on the Galaxy S26 series in South Korea on September 16. It later reached the US on September 23.
Now, the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra are receiving the update in South Korea. Several users have reported receiving notifications, including those who did not participate in the beta program. If Samsung follows the same rollout schedule, US users could receive the update next week.
Meanwhile, Samsung has also released the stable One UI 9 update for the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7. However, it is currently available to users who participated in the beta program. The update is expected to reach other users soon, although its availability for the Z Flip7 FE remains unclear.
According to Samsung update tracker Tarun Vats, the Galaxy S25 series receives build version S938NKSUCDZIF. The update requires a 3.9GB download. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 receive build version F966NKSUCCZIH, with a download size of around 500MB.
However, the smaller download applies to users moving from the beta version to the stable release. Those upgrading directly from One UI 8.5 should expect a larger download.
The rollout also follows Samsung’s previously announced schedule. A press release from Samsung Thailand initially listed September 28 as the release date for the Galaxy S25 and Z7 series. The company also mentioned that the Galaxy S23 FE and other S23 models would receive the update by October.
However, Samsung has since revised that timeline. The updated announcement now says the Galaxy S23 series will receive One UI 9 later this year, without specifying an exact date.
