Samsung has quietly listed the Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 on its website, making both phones official. However, the two new models appear to be rebranded versions of the Galaxy A08. Both phones feature a 6.7-inch LCD display with a 720×1600 resolution. The screen also supports a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations.
The camera setup is also identical across the three models. The Galaxy M08 and F08 feature a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus. A 2MP depth sensor is included as well. For selfies, both phones use an 8MP front camera. Samsung has also equipped them with a 6,000mAh battery. The battery supports 25W wired charging.
The Galaxy M08 and F08 use MediaTek’s Helio G99+ chipset. The name suggests an updated chip, although it appears to be closely related to the standard Helio G99. Both models come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Storage can also be expanded through a microSD card. The Galaxy M08 will be available in silver, while the F08 comes in dark blue.
On the software side, both phones ship with Android 17 and Samsung’s One UI 9. Samsung has also promised security updates for both models until September 30, 2032. The phones also carry an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. This gives them some protection against everyday exposure to dust and water splashes.
Samsung has not yet revealed official pricing for either phone. However, an earlier leak claimed both models could cost around $176 at launch. For now, the Galaxy M08 and F08 offer the same core hardware as the Galaxy A08. Their different names and color options appear to be the main changes between the models.
